Introduction
Tending to children’s mental, behavioural and social well-being takes considerable time and effort. Every day we must pause to reflect on the unstable world that our children are living in, and endeavour to support them in every way we can. Our goal is to find ways to enable children to build their confidence, to interact positively with others, and to achieve positive change in their lives and communities.
Since its launch in the Gaza Strip eight years ago, the Qattan Centre for the Child has worked to develop its experience and expertise with children, parents and childcare professionals whilst providing a new model for engaging children in creating a cultural environment that is rich with opportunities for learning in increasingly challenging times. Above all, the Centre has worked to build self-confidence in children and to enable them to become active participants in society, capable of creativity and invention.
