Communication Spaces

 

The Nilin Teachers’ Centre held several workshops and training courses for teachers and students, including:

  • Professional development for female kindergarten teachers from Nilin and neighbouring areas
  • A training session in poster-making
  • A screening of the film, Cakes on the Pavement
  • A workshop in art and recycling
  • Staging the play, The Princess and the Well

 

Regional and Specialised Teachers’ Forums

A meeting was held between the organisers of six teachers’ forums across six locations in the West Bank. Representatives from each forum gave a brief presentation about their current activities and their vision for the future.

 

Teachers’ Forums in Gaza

A series of sessions were held with teachers to cover subjects such as electronic tools in learning, and exploring human rights through storytelling, as well as a lesson entitled, Whole Brain Teaching.

 

Principals and Supervisors Forum in Gaza

Monthly meetings between school principals and supervisors were held throughout the year. These meetings focused on electronic learning at schools, the role of fun in education, how to tackle the problem of cheating in exams, and the pros and cons of the Tawjihi  examination.

 

English language Club (Gaza)

The English language Club, which is held at several Gaza Strip schools, continued with activities that embrace learning the English language and increasing English literacy.
